GI – behind the scenes

Developing the Gamealogical Insititute – a behind-the-scenes Journal

Only a few weeks left – is my plan too big?

Wow, it is the 5th and Imagicon is on the 27th.
This is the list of things I am planning to have for the GI Exhibit/booth:
- Giant Chess (painted the first piece tonight; a 4′ King. Building out of plywood)
- Kubb. Mark is probably going to help me have a set to use at the Con. I found some old, weathered wood that I can probably use as a fake “exhibit of ancient Kubb pieces”. Otherwise I’ll just use them to make antique looking pieces to use at the Con.
- Triathlon – should be easy; just need the table(1 or 2) and 2 sets of games for the competition.
- Booth itself: all I know is that I want it to look like a booth in a eastern-european marketplace or something. I may do a safari/at-the-dig-site set up if I can find a GP small or Medium army tent.

Things for sale:
Tacticum $15 game
Scarabs and Scorpions – $10 game
Virulant – still play testing, but should be easy to produce and would be the $5 game.

So mostly I think the Booth and my outfits will be the hardest things to settle on.
Staffing: having enough support from my sons or friends will be a challenge.

Well, I better make a quick entry on the GI site with info and pictures on building the Giant Chess set.
