GI – behind the scenes

Developing the Gamealogical Insititute – a behind-the-scenes Journal

Choosing the right target

Posted By Administrator on January 16, 2010

2010 starts with too many options, but a pretty clear focus. In December of 2009, the company I worked at closed. Yes, the place that is my “real job”, the one that pays teh bills and supports the Gamealogical Adventure.

Focus is clear – get employed, contracted on consulting ASAP.

The options make things a little more, lets say cloudy. The GI is still in its infant stages and just as with the analogy there are still stages to go through, but I am optimistic about its future. And just like one of my own real offspring, there is now telling where it will end up. I know we will not just be a game company, that is too narrow for my personality.

To continue developing contacts, having fun and learning about this wide world we are in, I will keep participating in conventions of one kind or another. This next weekend I will be at the Siege of Augusta in Georgia. We’ll be holding our first Tacticum Tournament.

So the year begins with job hunting, a first convention to attend and one to plan. I believe that as long as I am actively engaged and participating things will work out okay.

From sketches to reality – Giant Chess

Well, the DVD’s always have this stuff. And since this is a “behind the scenes” blog, I thought I should post some material showing how we are developing. I’ll get some more stuff on here about the games one day as well.
